Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN with a CA license and at least 1 year of L&D experience for a day shift hospital assignment.

Labor and Delivery unit with 7 rooms/14 beds and an average daily census of 10

Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Every other weekend required

Call required depending on patient census

Floating to Med-Surg and Ortho units may be required

Epic EMR experience required

Active CA RN license required; pending licenses not accepted

Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required

Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate

AWHONN Advanced certification preferred

Epic charting system experience required

Experience with fetal monitoring, high-risk delivery assistance, and postpartum care required

Skills in IV therapy, medication administration (including Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate), and neonatal care in the delivery room required

Must provide two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Responsibilities include labor and delivery management, neonatal care, postpartum care, and antepartum monitoring

Must be comfortable using external and internal fetal monitoring equipment

Royal blue scrubs required

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront

Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower rate

Former permanent staff may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius

Experienced travelers preferred, though first-time travelers will be considered

Travelers may be required to float to sister facilities within the same health system
