Senior Network Engineer
We need a Sr. Network Engineer for a 9+ month contract. VIDEO interview will be required. The Sr. Network Engineer will lead and manage critical network projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Cisco switching, routing, and voice technologies, as well as hands-on experience with modern Unified Threat Management (UTM) systems and next-generation firewall/security appliances. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and optimizing network infrastructure to support robust and secure operations across the organization.
Tasks, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple network projects by providing strategic oversight and technical guidance from design through implementation and troubleshooting.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment, including switches, routers, and voice systems.
- Implement, maintain, and optimize modern UTM solutions and next-generation firewall appliances to safeguard network integrity and data security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions align with organizational objectives and best practices.
- Develop, document, and enforce network policies and procedures that promote operational excellence and security compliance.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior network staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Education, Skills and Desirable Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Extensive background in Cisco switching, routing, and voice systems.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale network projects and leading technical teams.
- Hands-on expertise with modern UTM systems and next-generation firewall/security appliances.
- Hands-on expertise with Network Access Control (NAC) systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or higher (e.g., CCIE) is highly desirable.
- Relevant certifications in UTM or next-generation firewall technologies is desirable.
