Senior Azure Integration Architect

Role : Senior Azure Integration Architect Location: Chicago, IL Contract Role Summary We are hiring a Senior Cloud Integration Architect to design and deliver integration patterns for an FX platform across Azure and on-prem environments. This role is responsible for defining how systems work together and ensuring those designs are implemented successfully. The architect will design event-driven integrations, define canonical event/data models, and guide delivery across multiple teams. Key Responsibilities Define platform-level integration approaches for: Canonical event and data models Integration contracts between systems Data modeling approaches (event-based and relational patterns) Design Azure-based services for ingestion, processing, and downstream integrations, including: Azure Container Apps AKS Azure messaging services Own hybrid integration architecture, including: Networking Security Deployment patterns between Azure and on-prem systems Design event-driven integration patterns using cloud or on-prem messaging tools based on use cases Produce architecture documentation including: Solution Design Documents (SDDs) Connectivity diagrams Security architecture Disaster Recovery (DR) Observability documentation Collaborate with multiple teams to align on integration patterns and resolve delivery gaps Contribute hands-on where required, including: Building services Troubleshooting Validating integrations Required Experience Experience designing and delivering distributed, event-driven systems Strong hands-on experience with: Kafka Azure Service Bus Azure Event Hubs Strong database experience with: SQL Server PostgreSQL Oracle Strong Azure platform experience including: Azure Container Apps / AKS Azure Storage / ADLS Azure Key Vault & ACR Application Insights & Log Analytics Networking (Private Endpoints, DNS, Hybrid Connectivity) Experience defining integration patterns and enterprise data models Ability to create clear, implementation-ready architecture and design documentation Nice to Have Databricks Snowflake Experience working with enterprise governance and architecture review processes Tools & Technologies Integration & Messaging Kafka Azure Service Bus Azure Event Hubs Azure Platform Azure Container Apps AKS ADLS Gen2 / Blob Storage Azure Cache for Redis Key Vault Azure Container Registry (ACR) Private Endpoints / Private DNS ExpressRoute / VPN Azure Monitor Log Analytics Application Insights Development Python Java Docker GitHub / CI-CD AceStack LLC
