Data Center Technician, ADC InfraOps DCO

Job ID: 10411760 | Amazon Data Services, Inc. AWS is looking for fully cleared Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. These technicians resolve and troubleshoot a wide range of data center infrastructure issues including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. Key Responsibilities Engage in physical data center activities, including planning and tracking capacity, rack deployment, rack cabling, hardware and software troubleshooting, and rack decommissioning. Perform tasks such as lifting and moving material up to 49 pounds, working in cramped or elevated locations, bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day, ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely, working in a noisy environment, and working shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations. A Day in the Life Take ownership of technical issues brought by the customer base, engaging other teams when needed to drive resolution. Show a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving. Resolve problems at their root and understand the broader context. Maintain service level agreements through proactive issue detection and reporting. Act proactively in the absence of direction or support. Improve effectiveness through process innovation. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or A+ / CND / Network+ / Security+ certification. US citizen with a current, active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment). Hands-on experience with one or more hardware platforms (e.g., Dell, HP). Networking experience with CCNA and/or Network+ certifications. Associate’s degree in an IT‑related field plus at least two years of progressively responsible experience.
