This is a senior medical affairs role shaping global strategy in the neurological disease space, with direct influence on evidence generation and scientific positioning.
You will translate clinical insights into actionable medical strategies that guide product development, market access, and launch excellence.
The role sits at the intersection of science, clinical development, and commercial strategy within a fast-moving diagnostics environment.
You will collaborate closely with global franchise teams, key opinion leaders, and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
A strong focus is placed on integrated evidence planning, study strategy execution, and scientific communications.
The position also plays a key role in advancing research partnerships and strengthening external scientific engagement worldwide.
This is a highly visible, impact-driven role with both strategic leadership and hands-on execution responsibilities.
Accountabilities
- Lead integrated medical planning by performing gap analyses and identifying opportunities within Integrated Evidence Plans, driving initiatives through structured workshops and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop disease area frameworks, including patient journey mapping and study strategies, while ensuring alignment across global medical, clinical, and commercial teams.
- Oversee evidence generation activities, including study funnel development, budgeting, execution planning, and coordination with clinical operations and external partners.
- Translate scientific and clinical insights from key opinion leaders into actionable recommendations for product development and medical strategy refinement.
- Drive scientific communication strategy by forecasting publications, abstracts, and posters, and ensuring effective dissemination of study outcomes.
- Contribute to medical input for product strategy, launches, market access activities, and the development of scientific advisory boards.
- Author and support medical grants and represent the organization at scientific meetings, investigator meetings, and external stakeholder engagements.
Requirements
- Advanced scientific or medical degree required (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) with 14+ years of relevant experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of clinical trial methodology, regulatory requirements, and protocol design within pharmaceutical, biotech, or diagnostics environments.
- Proven ability to operate in global, cross-functional teams spanning R&D, clinical operations, regulatory, commercial, and statistics functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to scientific and medical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with external stakeholders including key opinion leaders and clinical research partners.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution in evidence generation and medical strategy development.
- Willingness and ability to travel 20–25% domestically and internationally.
