Full Time Speech Language Pathologist, Long Island

JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct service to children approved through the EI and CSE programs in accordance with the mandate and location identified in the IFSP and IEP.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, schools, and other community settings.
• Follow the IFSP/IEP, plan ongoing treatment, and interpret goals and treatment plan for parents and other professionals.
• Educate all individuals involved in a case on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Prepare progress reports as per program timelines
• Utilize various systems to ensure documentation for a case is completed and meets regulatory expectations.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a passion for working with children and families

• Must be a NY State licensed SLP
• Must have NY State Initial or Professional TSLD or Permanent TSHH
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred, but not required
• Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to climb and descend staircases
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Salary:$70,000 per year. Please note this is a 12 month position.
