Pediatric Cardiologist

A healthcare organization in New Jersey is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Middlesex County. This role provides inpatient pediatric cardiology coverage, consultations, and call support in a collaborative hospital setting.
About the Opportunity:- Shift: Day shift with 24-hour call coverage
- Schedule: One week per month, Monday 8:00 AM through the following Monday 8:00 AM
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with 24-hour call during the assigned coverage week
- Setting: Inpatient hospital
- Round on pediatric cardiology inpatients
- Provide pediatric cardiology consultations throughout the hospital
- Interpret echocardiograms and electrocardiograms
- Respond to pediatric cardiology service calls
- Evaluate and manage patients in the emergency department, pediatric inpatient units, the PICU, and the NICU
- Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology
- Active or eligible New Jersey medical license
- Ability to independently perform and interpret Pediatric Echocardiograms
- Experience managing critically ill Pediatric and Neonatal Cardiac patients
- Experience providing inpatient consultations and emergency cardiac evaluations
- Experience working in an academic medical center
- Familiarity with Epic electronic medical record systems
- Experience collaborating with pediatric cardiology medical leadership and support teams
