Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Multiple shifts available; start time may vary and will be confirmed during interview | Projected Start: November 15, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned Emergency Department patients
• Manage a diverse patient population including clinic-type patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, and behavioral health cases
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect to appropriate resources

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of New Mexico or a compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with most recent experience in an Emergency Department setting at a Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma center
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current PALS certification required (AHA only)
• Current TNCC certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience managing high-acuity cases including STEMIs, strokes, and Level I traumas
• Familiarity with emergency department-specific competency validation processes
