Role Summary/Purpose:This position will provide benefit strategies, policies and programs that align with Synchrony's objectives in a cost-effective manner. The position will report to the SVP Compensation & Benefits.Essential Responsibilities:Work closely with HR Business Partners and Senior Leaders to plan, direct, coordinate and communicate company-wide benefit programs including health and welfare, retirement, 401(k), and wellness plans.Recommend and implement innovative programs through internal analysis, modeling and interaction with consultants, insurance agents, brokers, and administrators.Oversee and manage appropriate vendor relationships both internal and external to the organization to ensure the function sufficiently supports the company now and in the future.Perform other duties and/or special projects as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience in employee benefits – in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of experience in employee benefits3 years' experience in a leadership position within the benefits area of an organizationIndustry knowledge of and a proven track record of benefits planning, design and developmentIn-depth knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements both adopted and pending affecting benefit plansExcellent interpersonal skills to work with employees and managers at all levels, including proven ability to influence senior leadersProven ability to create and execute human resource strategies and plans in support of the business goalsStrong business partnering/consulting skillsHigh touch focus with employees, including the ability to deliver on employee communications needs for benefit plansTrack record of effectively managing Health Care costsAbility and flexibility to travel for business as requiredDesired Characteristics:Experience delivering benefit programs for both exempt and non-exempt employee populationsProven track record of integration effortsLeader in HR benefits best practicesExceptional project management experienceAbility to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teamGrade/Level: 12The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.Our Way of Working:We’re proud to offer you flexibility. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
