A bit about us:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support the design and development of utility infrastructure projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to prepare accurate construction drawings, update existing plans, and produce documentation for a variety of utility installations. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and proficient in AutoCAD with experience supporting civil or utility-related projects.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and maintain CAD drawings for utility infrastructure projects.
• Develop construction plans, as-built drawings, and design revisions based on engineering markups and field information.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure drawing accuracy and project compliance.
• Review plans and specifications to incorporate design changes and resolve drafting issues.
• Maintain drawing files and project documentation in accordance with company standards.
• Assist with permitting packages and project documentation as needed.
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and delivered within project deadlines.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CAD drafting experience, preferably within the utility, civil, or construction industries.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
• Understanding of underground utility systems, including electric, gas, water, sewer, or telecommunications infrastructure, is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, surveys, and construction documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
