We are looking to add a Payroll Administrator to our Corporate Accounting team. The Payroll Administrator accomplishes the organization’s multi-state payroll objectives by exercising the high degree of expertise, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality necessary to support the business. As a subject matter expert on state and federal wage and tax regulations, this role serves as a resource for compliance and risk management efforts and assumes responsibility for error-free payroll processing and reporting.

You will report directly to the Manager of Payroll and be based out of Nth Degree’s corporate office in Duluth GA. We do function in a hybrid capacity; this position is three days in the office, two days remote.

Salary is $70,000

What You’ll Do:

• Manage all multi-state weekly payroll processing.
• Accurately processing complex union payrolls, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements
• Audit Timecards and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll processing
• Review, analyze and respond to Unemployment Insurance claims and Audits (Multiple states)
• Conduct manual check processing for adjustments, discrepancies, and retroactive payments; perform manual direct deposit processing for union and non-union employees.
• Oversee check management including voiding checks, and managing stop payment requests, un-cashed check recovery, and replacement checks.
• Process PTO requests.
• Manage ad hoc and scheduled payroll reporting.
• Process unemployment insurance and I-9 processing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• 3+ years’ progressively responsible multi-state payroll administration experience; union experience preferred
• Must possess strong detail-orientation with the ability to identify errors and inconsistencies
• Must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels and backgrounds
• Able to manage workload and maintain accuracy while meeting weekly time-sensitive deadlines
• In accordance with the payroll and company policy, all candidates selected for the position will be subject to background and credit check.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software; working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Advance Payroll Skills (reconciliations, audits, formulas)
• Knowledge of Multistate payroll taxation
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to charismatically manage cross-functional relationships within the organization and provide superior customer service
• Expert time management and organizational skills
