WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Senior Financial Advisor (SFA) serves as Wealth Management’s primary point of contact for an assigned line of business to develop new business and maintain ongoing relationships with affluent individuals and families within a specific market. The SFA interacts with clients, prospects and colleagues on a regular basis, providing asset management, financial planning, and brokerage services advice. Less experienced Financial Advisors (FA) work in tandem with an assigned SFA to provide sales and client and colleague service support coverage. The SFA maintains overall responsibility for the assigned territory and the team’s "book of business," while the FA focuses on sales, client service, and teaming with CNB colleagues for smaller Personal & Business Banking (PBB) wealth‑management opportunities or client relationships. The FA’s day‑to‑day activities are performed independently, but the SFA provides mentoring to develop the FA’s sales and relationship‑management skills. The FA progression can include complete responsibility for all duties associated with non‑primary branch locations within the team.WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Business Development: serve as the wealth‑management point of contact for Personal & Business Banking (PBB) Bank. Revenue production: meet goals related to advisory services and securities products. Develop new relationships with PBB Bank through referrals, internal sources, and personal community involvement; create opportunities to win new business and cross‑sell to existing clients. Profile clients with emphasis on discovering investment needs and solutions in collaboration with PBB colleagues. Establish sales calls, travel to meet clients, and attend presentations at PBB branches and client locations. Lead discussions about all aspects of Wealth Management Services and be the primary contact for new investment‑management opportunities. Relationship Management: take a lead role in planning, delivery, and regular review of investment services with clients. Communicate updates to clients via appointments and with PBB colleagues. Proactively discuss market conditions and adjust investment strategies or communicate strategic shifts in the marketplace. Team with PBB colleagues to set strategies and provide wealth‑management services across the full product spectrum. Analyze financial needs, monitor ongoing circumstances, and take action as necessary. Oversee the overall onboarding process and account maintenance. Prepare and review client materials and presentations before meetings. Maintain communication with clients about adjustments or actions that should be taken. Client Portfolio Review & Management: structure asset allocation based on client objectives and risk tolerance using CNAM models; review assets regularly to ensure alignment with investment objectives and the Investment Policy Statement; prepare and present portfolio review materials. Risk Management & Compliance: stay current on client financial information, ensure solutions are understood, maintain training and certification requirements, collect required account documentation, monitor bond concentrations in Fixed‑Income portfolios, and fully comply with Bank, CNS operational policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Code of Conduct, FINRA).WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of investment‑related experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in investment sales. FINRA Series 7 and 63 and 65 or 66. California Insurance License. Additional Qualifications Demonstrated success in an investment‑product sales role over a multi‑year period. Strong understanding of financial planning and the investment process, including mapping clients’ needs to asset‑allocation models, portfolio structuring, and analytics. Solid product knowledge and relationship‑management skills. Positive contributions and productive collaboration with line‑of‑business partners. May possess a BA or equivalent 8 years of experience in financial services or an MBA and 3–5 years of experience. May possess CFP, JD/LLM, CIMA, or Cannon Certified Wealth Strategist designation. FINRA Series 7, 63 and securities licenses and state insurance license required. CFP designation highly preferred.WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Compensation Starting base salary: $90,000 – $100,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
