Director of Construction

We are seeking a highly experienced and vision-driven Director of Construction to lead the site development, core & shell construction, and commissioning of our large-scale, hyperscale, and enterprise data center builds across US. In this role, you will hold end-to-end accountability for execution across multiple concurrent multi-megawatt capital projects directing general contractors, engineering consultants, procurement pipelines, and owner’s representatives. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the rigorous quality standards required for high-density, mission-critical infrastructure . Key Responsibiliti hipLead multi-disciplinary construction teams across greenfield, brownfield, and campus data center developments from entitlement and pre-construction through commissioning (Level 1–5) and handoff to operatio ns.Oversee concurrent build programs ranging from core & shell construction to fit-outs with heavy electrical (MEP/HVAC, switchgear, generators, UPS systems) and cooling topologies (direct-to-chip, liquid, chiller s).Directly manage project budgets ranging from $100M to $1B+, maintaining strict financial oversight, cash flow forecasting, and value-engineering strategie es.Establish project milestones, critical path schedules (CPM), and risk mitigation plans to ensure on-time delivery in fast-track schedul es. Vendor, GC & Supply Chain Govern anceSelect, negotiate, and manage contracts (AIA, EPC, Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build) with General Contractors, Trade Partners, Engineering Firms, and Commissioning Age nts.Oversee Long-Lead Equipment (LLE) procurement strategies (transformers, generators, switchgear, chillers) to mitigate global supply chain exposure and ensure vendor alignment with build timeli les.Direct weekly constructability reviews, schedule updates, change order evaluations, and cost-to-complete analy ses. Safety, Quality & Compl ianceEnforce zero-tolerance Safety (OSHA) and Environmental Compliance programs across all project s hare implement robust Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) frameworks tailored to mission-critical standards (TIA-942, Uptime Institute tier standa rds).Coordinate closely with local municipalities, utility providers (power, water, fiber), and regulatory agencies to secure permits, power interconnection agreements, and Certificates of Occupancy

(CO).

Cross-Functional Collabo rationPartner with Acquisition, Design & Engineering, Power/Utilities, Leasing, and Operational teams to ensure seamless project han doffs.Serve as the primary operational liaison to executive leadership and key hyperscale tenants regarding construction progress, schedule milestones, and strategic risks. Qualifications & Requi rements Required Ex perienceEd ucation: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field (or equivalent field expe experience: Minimum 10–12+ years of commercial construction experienc e, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role directly managing multi-megawatt data center or mission-critica l builds.Track record of successfully delivering large-scale data center projects (minimum 20MW+ single builds or multi-building ca mp ologies. Technical Skills & Cr edentialsProficiency with construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, BIM/Revit, B luebeam).Solid grasp of contract law, change order administration, and claim a voidance.Preferred Certif ications: PMP, OSHA 30, LEED AP, or Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) / Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Speciali st (ATS).
