Critical Care Nurse (ICU/CCU)

Location: Hoquiam, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 18:45 - 07:15

Job Description: The Critical Care Nurse (ICU/CCU) provides direct and individualized nursing care to patients utilizing scientific nursing principles. Critical Care Nurses are responsible for overseeing the care of critically ill patients and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.

Responsibilities:

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and record dosages accurately.
• Monitor vital signs and record medical information.
• Educate patients and families on managing illness/injury and post-treatment care.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Respond to life-saving situations based on established protocols.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays related to patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Current RN license within the state of practice, including verification requirements for a compact license.
• Proof of right to work in the United States.
• Critical care experience in a hospital setting.
