Responsibilities:
- Attractively prepare meals that are appealing and tasty and served at the right temperature per the menu and schedule
- Prepare special limited diets per policy
- Identify menu errors and makes appropriate corrections as needed, bring the necessary changes to the Director of Culinary’s attention
- Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines
- Follow kitchen cleaning schedule
- Relate to residents in a courteous, empathetic, and cooperative manner
- Keep environment safe and clean
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
- Carry and posses a working knowledge of community paging system
Uniform Demands:
- Clean white collared shirt
- Chef coat (we provide)
- Black head cover (we provide)
- Black Pants
- Black closed toe shoes.
- Community wide jewelry and dress policy
Special Demands:
- Must be in good physical and mental health.
- Must posses an upbeat, positive, flexible, and enthusiastic personality and be congenial with fellow employees, residents, and the public at large.
- Must be an honest and dependable individual.
- Must maintain proper hygiene.
- Must be professional in dress and presentation.
- Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire work shift.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in standard English and use own judgment and initiative in daily activities.
- Must be a mature individual. Must posses the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
- Must have strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Must be detail and team work oriented.
- Must posses a current CPR/First Aid certificate and update as needed.
- Must attend required in-services/ workshops to further education of skills and community requirements.
- Must be Drug free and submit to Urinary Analysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations.
- The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.
