Hospitalist Clinton, MD MedStar Medical Group II, LLC (d/b/a MedStar Medical Group) We have an opening for a Hospitalist to join our team! Job Duties Provide inpatient internal medicine care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing conditions, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge. Participate in the call schedule. Facilitate coordination and development of comprehensive, individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team. Prepare written prescription orders, medications, and controlled substances under Maryland and federal rules, regulations, and law. Coordinate family education with nursing staff, ancillary staff, and other resources. Follow all established HIMS policies for maintenance and signing of medical records. Submit timely and complete patient bills. Receive inpatient referrals from primary care centers and admit from Emergency Department. Maintain a daily caseload of 10+ hospital patients. Contribute to the achievement of departmental goals and adhere to policies, procedures, quality and safety standards. Comply with government and accreditation regulations. Work Hours and Schedule The position requires day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts and on-call duties. 40 hours per week. Qualifications Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or foreign equivalent and 36 months of ABIM‑recognized and ACGME‑accredited internal medicine residency. Valid Maryland Medical license and American Board certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine.
