Key responsibilities include:

• Administering radiation therapy treatments accurately and safely according to prescribed protocols.
• Operating and maintaining radiation therapy equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborating with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Monitoring patient progress and responding to any adverse reactions or complications during treatment.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment procedures, side effects, and care plans.
• Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
• Mentoring and providing guidance to junior radiation therapists and support staff.
• Participating in quality assurance programs and continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Radiation Therapist (ARRT or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in radiation therapy, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and treatment planning systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
