Roles And Responsibilities Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department procedures and protocols. Capable of setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality. Capable of positioning patient for optimal images. Capable of following Radiologist protocols for specific exams. Capable of evaluating images for quality. Capable of accurately following physician's instructions. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Imaging department policies. Consistently follows patient identification policy. Understands the correct exam needed and patient factors. Documents any changes/variation to protocol on requisition. Follows all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (per sites worked). Required Skills And Experience Education: Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program. Experience: Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed. Licensure/Registry: ARRT credentials for diagnostic imaging and NYS license. Preferred Skills And Experience Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred. Good written and oral communication skills preferred. Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes. Physical Requirements Must be able to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients and ambulate without assistance. Location and Travel Requirements Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center - 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850 Shift: Full-Time Days FLEX. Anticipated schedule Four (4) 10-Hour Shifts 7am-5pm. Rotating weekends and holidays. Rotating call may be required. Ability to flex should department or patient needs change. 0%-5% Travel can be expected in this role. Pay Range Disclosure Standard Rate of $31.25 to $40.87 per hour plus benefits.
