Job Details Specialty: ICU Registered Nurse / Critical Care Nurse Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Location: Portland, OR 97213 Start Date: 09/21/2026 End Date: 12/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:00) Hours Per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Yes, at least every other weekend Float Requirement: Yes, based on unit needs Charting System: Epic Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050 - $2,160 Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse license in hand at time of submission Compact license required at submission if applicable Minimum 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience required Experience with Epic charting required Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CCRN certifications required Strong experience with ventilated patients, arterial lines, central line care, vasoactive drips, and dysrhythmia management Ability to care for complex critical care patients including CRRT, ECMO, ARDS, and post-procedure cardiac patients Must be comfortable floating to other units and nearby sister facilities as needed Must have reliable transportation for the assignment Two professional references covering the last year of experience within the past 3 years Responsibilities Provide high-acuity nursing care for adult ICU patients in a collaborative critical care environment Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, oxygenation status, hemodynamics, and arterial blood gases Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, invasive lines, and advanced critical care equipment Administer and titrate vasoactive medications, sedation, paralytics, and other IV therapies as ordered Care for patients requiring CRRT, ECMO support, IABP, VADs, and other specialized interventions Support patients with complex diagnoses such as respiratory failure, stroke, multisystem organ dysfunction, and post-neurosurgical needs Collaborate closely with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, imaging, and other support teams Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, timely, compassionate patient care Adapt to changing unit needs and contribute to a strong team environment Why Apply for This Portland ICU Travel Nurse Job?
