Private Grant Writer

Job Description Here at gpac we are working with a wonderful nonprofit organization that is looking for a Private Grant Writer to join their diverse team! This is an on-site position in Osceola, IA. This position reports to the Foundations and Corporate Grants Managerand will be a part of the Development Department. This individual may additionally receive direction from the CEO, CDO, and the Director of Development. Duties and Responsibilities: - Write, edit, and format private grant proposals, reports, and other funding deliverables - Work independently and in collaboration with program and fundraising staff - Ensure all written materials accurately reflect the agency's mission, policies, and programs in a compelling manner - Submit accurate and complete private grant applications, letters of intent, reports, and other documents as directed by the Grants Manager - Identify new private grant funding sources - Enter relevant information into the Development Departments donor management system as necessary Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience writing grants and/or proposals - Strong written communication skills - Able to write and edit clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals - Excellent multi-tasking skills - Knowledge of fundraising information sources and fundraising techniques and strategies - Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel - Knowledge of donor management systems preferred Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, 403(b) Retirement plan, Eligibility for Federal Student Loan Forgiveness, PTO This organization strives to end homelessness and domestic violence by providing care and support for those experiencing it, through housing and services tailored to the unique needs of the individual.
