Summary You will serve as a LEAD POLICE OFFICER in the FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of NAVMAG INDIAN ISLAND SEC DET. Responsibilities You will secure crime scenes for evidence collection. You will perform contingency actions in response to incidents, emergencies, and hostile actions (e.g., active shooter, hazardous materials spill, bomb threat). You will distribute and balance workload and rotations among police officers. You will administer anti-terrorism, force protection, physical security, and law enforcement services for the protection of life and property. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; 3) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations; 4) Distributing workload to junior officers in accordance with priority and skill level.
