Pastoral Care CoordinatorServes as program developer and coordinator for pastoral care services and ensures the provision of spiritual care for patients, families and staff at Baptist Health Richmond. Assists in strategic development, planning, implementation and oversight of programs, strategies, initiatives, and policies and procedures aimed at enhancing the patient experience.The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this job by listing the major components for this position (i.e., key responsibilities and essential duties). Additionally, other duties may be assigned at the discretion of leadership to meet business, customer, and/or patient needs.Works collaboratively with the Patient Experience Coordinator, Director of Quality, VP/CNO and other members of the administrative and/or management team to enhance the patients experience and support their spiritual needs.Develops, coordinates, and communicates a pastoral care pool schedule to ensure adequate coverage of pastoral care needs across the organizationResponsible for ongoing planning, development, implementation and evaluation of pastoral care programs which meet the needs of patientsUnder the direction and guidance Patient Experience Coordinator and the Director of Quality serves as a liaison between patients, family, community, staff, directors/managers, and providers to enhance the patient experienceServes as a consultant for the organization regarding religious, moral and/or ethical matters and serves on hospital and system-wide committees, where appropriateWorks collaboratively with Director of Care Transitions/Palliative Care, Senior Team and members of the medical staff to establish processes, programs and activities, which support the organization's overall goals for Palliative Care, Advance Care Planning, and Population HealthMaintains Patient/Employee/Organization confidentiality at all times.Maintains corporate compliance guidelines and integrity.Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, specific job-related hazardsWorks with pastors from various congregations throughout the local community and establishes collegial networking relationships to support organizational goals related to spiritual care and health promotionB.A./B.S. or its equivalent; M.Div. or its equivalent from a seminary preferredMinimum of 5 years' experienceCPE experience to qualify as a Board-Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains (is required to become Board Certified eligible within two years of employmentHealth, Vision, Dental and Pet InsuranceTuition Reimbursement up to $6,000 annuallyCompany paid Maternity and Paternity LeaveBereavement Leave (includes pets)PTO Sell Back ProgramCompassionate Leave Sharing Program (PTO Donation)Employee Support Fund, for employees in need of emergency financial supportRetirement with Company MatchIdentity Theft Protection5 days of Paid Time Off available upon hireIf you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
