Occupational Therapist
Empower young learners to thrive as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting elementary-age students from early childhood through 5th grade. This in-person position offers both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time (.5 or above FTE) contract opportunities. Workdays are scheduled from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional after-hours meetings that foster collaboration and professional growth.
What you'll bring:
- Current OT license and credentials (or eligibility) for practice in a school setting.
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy in schools, early childhood, home health, or related healthcare environments.
- Understanding of pediatric OT assessments, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to in-person service deliveryvirtual or remote not available for this position.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct OT assessments for students aged EC5th grade, developing and implementing individualized intervention plans.
- Provide direct therapy to help students develop fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation.
- Collaborate with educators, special education staff, and families to support student goals and promote generalization of skills.
- Document services, progress, and outcomes according to school and professional guidelines.
- Attend occasional after-hours meetings to coordinate with teams and engage in professional development activities.
