Network Install Technician

Network Install Technicians will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, troubleshoot complex technical scenarios, and implement strategic solutions that keep our network running seamlessly. Key Job Responsibilities Move and implement large enterprise equipment Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment Ensure proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installation Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activities Safely use material handling tools and equipment Travel within and outside the regional work area as required Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with participation in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely without limitation Essential Requirements Ability to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed (over 50 miles or less than 50 miles) Will travel to or commute between data center locations as required by business needs Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods or until assigned facility is operational Adapt to varying travel frequency based on business needs and operational status of assigned facility Basic Qualifications Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers 18+ months of experience in data center or critical environment or similar technical roles: computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations 18+ months of experience with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment (VFL, power meter, OTDR, etc.) Preferred Qualifications Experience in a data center or other critical environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional or military experience in an IT‑related field (e.g., computer science, network engineering) Certifications in a relevant field (CCENT, Network+, CCNA) Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience Ability to work on a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and/or weekends Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
