RN – Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)

Location: Glens Falls, New York

Position Overview

The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides care to acute inpatients and elective outpatients. The team supports emergency procedures 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients according to protocols.
• Continuously assess patient hemodynamics.
• Perform conscious sedation.
• Mix and maintain IV/IC infusions and boluses.
• Monitor patient responses and notify physicians of changes.
• Assist physicians with interventional procedures.
• Provide Phase I recovery care.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of current Cath Lab experience — required.
• 2+ years of cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedure experience — required.
• Cath and peripheral experience, including STEMI and STEMI call experience — required.
• Proficiency interpreting EKGs and hemodynamic pressure tracings — required.
• Conscious sedation experience — required.
• IV experience — required.
• Moderate sedation certification — highly preferred.
• EP (Electrophysiology) experience — highly preferred.
• Epic experience should be clearly documented on the candidate’s profile, as the facility is transitioning to Epic.
• Must have own vehicle.
• Must demonstrate reliability, consistent attendance, and a patient-focused approach.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Current New York RN license.
• Active ACLS certification.
• Active BLS certification.
• All licenses and certifications must be uploaded with the profile; pending documents are not accepted.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate is mandatory for nursing submissions. Candidates cannot be considered without it.
