Associate Principal Supplier Quality Engineer - Supplier Development

Penumbra seeks an Associate Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier development initiatives within a newly established capability focused on strengthening supply chain resilience and supplier capability. The role combines technical leadership with cross-functional program management to drive supplier qualification, process improvement, and supply continuity initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier capability development initiatives to improve quality, scalability, and process robustness
- Execute supplier improvement roadmaps and drive optimization projects including Kaizen events and variation reduction
- Conduct supplier capability assessments, manufacturing evaluations, and technical due diligence activities
- Lead supplier qualification activities and support complex multi-stakeholder supplier programs
- Support Strategic Procurement on category strategy, diversification, and supply risk reduction initiatives
Requirements
- Experience leading complex supplier quality or supplier development programs
- Technical expertise in manufacturing processes, quality systems, or supplier assessment
- Strong cross-functional program management and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience with supplier qualification, capability assessments, or manufacturing readiness evaluations
- Familiarity with supply chain risk management and supplier performance improvement methodologies
