ALE Bus Aide

Job Title

This position is 2 hours per day. One hour in the morning, one hour in the afternoon.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist students during transport to and from Carlisle ALE Program
• Ensure students enter and leave bus orderly
• Maintain seating chart
• Assists with handling emergency situations until the bus driver can take over
• Provide safe loading and unloading from buses during normal transport and emergency situations
• Monitor students until released to teacher, instructional assistant, parent, etc.
• Prepare seating chart of assigned riders, student misconduct, and incident reports to provide information needed to comply with guidelines
• Report observations, incidents, and social behavior to appropriate personnel for their action
• Attend meetings, in-service training, and/or workshops as directed
• Provide other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective work place
• Maintain confidentiality, unquestionable integrity
• Daily attendance and punctuality are required for the purpose of ensuring the goals of the work unit can be met
• Display professionalism in appearance, attitude, and actions
