This position will assist a team in field preparation, planting, in-season management, harvest, and data collection in a wide variety of crop species in South Texas.**Responsibilities:** -Assists with program and outreach efforts. -Produces and or delivers presentations -Assists in the initiation of applied research studies, collects, and processes data and generates reports.-Operate tractors, chemical applicators, and harvest equipment in a safe and efficient manner for a variety of crops.-Complete basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.-With supervision and training, process samples and collect date from field experiments.-Assist in maintaining facilities and farm infrastructure.-Assist with field day and other outreach events for stakeholders and industry partners.-Keep detailed records of field activities and data collected.**Required Education and Experience:** -Bachelor’s degree**Preferred Experience:**-Two years of experience in agricultural field operations.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** -Knowledge of word processing, database, presentation and spreadsheet applications. -Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
