Assistant Deli Manager

Overview Assume the role of Assistant Deli Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market, leading the deli department to deliver healthy food options and excellent customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment. Responsibilities Assist the Deli Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day operations of the deli department. Manage merchandising, inventory ordering, and product quality to maximize productivity and profitability. Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through planning, goal setting, communication, and teamwork. Lead the deli team in providing high‑quality products and superior service. Hire, train, develop, and coach team members. Unload deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment. Enforce company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ensure team compliance. Qualifications Minimum 18 years old, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in deli or related food service. Flexible availability—including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer‑oriented, friendly demeanor and positive attitude. Leadership ability to motivate staff, analyze sales data, and manage personnel reports. Detail oriented with analytical and problem‑solving skills. Food Safety certification; knowledge of federal, state, and company standards. Excellent organization and planning; able to prioritize multiple tasks. Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs. over distances of up to 20 feet, standing for up to 4 hours, and operate slicing, wrapping, and cooking equipment. Advisable to perform other related duties as assigned. Pay Range $18.55–$27.75 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
