Veterinary Medical Care is an essential business and Veterinary Specialists of Alaska is looking for Veterinary Technicians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our 3‑doctor hospital. We have a strong Technician team and are looking for a positive, energetic addition who shares our dedication to protecting our clients, staff, patients, and community. Compensation: $23.00‑$33.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes medical, dental, health‑care spending or reimbursement accounts, employee discounts, and PTO. Sign on or Relocation Bonus available! Qualifications Veterinary Technician in Alaska with a minimum one‑year experience. Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred, but not required. The ability to function in a fast‑paced environment with compassion, efficiency, and flexibility is key to success in this role. Job Duties Surgical nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending doctor's orders, assisting with consultations, calculation and administration of medications, in‑house lab work sampling and analysis, catheter placement, monitoring and managing patients' comfort, and updating clients on their pet's progress.
