Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 1 year in Endoscopy required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required for specific locations Must-Have: Opioid Analgesics Propofol Reversal agents Recovery monitored anesthesia care sedation Colonoscopy Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Experience with EPIC Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy. Hours will be from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Occasional late shifts starting at 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM are required. Late shifts will be assigned based on departmental needs. Most shifts will conclude by 8:00 PM, but earlier closures are common. No weekend or holiday shifts are required. Locals within a 75-mile radius are not accepted. No floating between facilities, but floating within the service line may occur. No call shifts are required. The average daily census is approximately 80 procedures with about 47 patient visits. There are 5 procedure rooms available. The patient ratio experience required is 1:3. Access to all hospital support services is provided. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics needing GI screening and diagnosis of GI complaints. Special procedures and unit details will be discussed further during the interview. The facility has interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy. Travelers with prior PACU experience are welcome to apply as they will be delivering pre/post procedural care. All required skills must be met. Modules will need to be completed prior to the start date to avoid any delays.
