Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, from 06:45 AM to 03:15 PM.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Candidates with at least 2 years of strong general OR and robotics experience will be considered. First-time travelers with relevant experience are welcome to apply. The OR RN will work in a Level II Trauma Center, engaging in a variety of general OR cases across multiple specialties, including trauma, orthopedic, and robotic procedures.

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing and circulating in the operating room for diverse surgical procedures.
• Providing care and support for adult and geriatric patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participating in on-call rotations and fulfilling on-call responsibilities as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or a compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR is required.
• Trauma Level II experience is preferred but not mandatory.
