Make an impact in the lives of young learners by providing part-time Physical Therapy services in a dedicated school setting. This contract opportunity allows you to work onsite two days each week, supporting a diverse student community from PreK through 12th grade. You’ll have a manageable caseload of 21 students, giving you the chance to deliver individualized attention and care while collaborating with supportive educators and staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Experience working with school-aged children (PreK-12)
- Familiarity with school-based documentation and IEP processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to engage students and adapt interventions to a range of needs and abilities
- Previous school experience preferred, but open to therapists eager to transition to an educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ physical therapy needs as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with educational goals and IEP requirements
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services onsite
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain detailed session notes and progress reports compliant with district and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings as needed to discuss student progress and recommendations
