Shift Details

Targeted Start Date: September 8, 2026

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in orthopaedics
• Casting experience is mandatory

Required Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred Certifications

• Orthopaedic Technologist Certification

On-Call Requirements

No on-call duties are required for this position.

Local Candidates

Local candidates are welcome to apply if residing within a 75-mile radius.

Orientation

Orientations are conducted bi-weekly. The next orientation date is September 21, 2026.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous charge experience is not required
• Experience with patient ratio management is preferred
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is an asset

Patient Care Details

• Age Groups: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Skills Required

• Fitting and removal of casts
• Short and long arm casting techniques
• Non-weight bearing and walking short leg casts
• Sterile dressing techniques
• Suture removal
• Trimming and windowing casts

Compliance and Attendance Policy

• Candidates must provide responsive communication regarding compliance within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Lab work must be completed within one week of signing.
• Travelers may have up to three absences per 13-week contract.
