Traveling Superintendent - Data Centers

The Construction Superintendent will Oversee projects from site mobilization through commissioning and turnover. They will specialize in coordinating complex trades, maintaining aggressive schedules, upholding safety standards, and delivering high-quality facilities for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center clients. As the company continues to expand its national footprint, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent who can lead field operations, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and successfully deliver mission-critical projects in dynamic environments across the country. Description Lead all on-site construction activities for Mission Critical and Data Center projects from groundbreaking through final turnover. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved. Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed construction schedules while identifying and proactively mitigating project risks. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements to maintain a safe, productive work environment. Conduct daily site walks, inspections, and quality control reviews to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Coordinate installation and sequencing of critical systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, generators, UPS, switchgear, and other mission-critical infrastructure. Facilitate owner, architect, engineer, subcontractor, and internal project meetings while providing regular progress updates. Support commissioning activities, testing procedures, punch-list completion, and project closeout processes. Ensure adherence to budget objectives through effective labor management, material planning, and schedule execution. Maintain project documentation, field reports, safety records, and quality assurance logs. Resolve field issues and conflicts quickly while minimizing schedule impacts and maintaining strong client relationships. Travel nationally to support project assignments and provide leadership on complex construction programs. Profile The ideal candidate is an experienced Construction Superintendent with a proven background delivering Mission Critical and Data Center projects. They possess strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and stakeholders in fast-paced construction environments. Key qualifications include: 10+ years of commercial construction experience with significant Mission Critical/Data Center project exposure. Proven experience leading large-scale data center developments, critical infrastructure projects, or highly technical facilities. Strong understanding of MEP systems, commissioning processes, and critical power infrastructure. Experience overseeing projects valued from $20M to $500M+. Demonstrated ability to maintain aggressive schedules while ensuring quality and safety objectives are achieved. Excellent communication, organizational, and team leadership skills. Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, and schedules. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety practices, and quality management systems. Ability to travel extensively and work on projects nationwide. Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and project reporting platforms. Stable work history with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects from start to finish.
