System Administrator

Are you a highly motivated System Administrator fluent in German? EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic team driving complex enterprise projects.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration and maintenance of servers, operating systems and network components;
• Ensuring the availability, performance and security of the IT infrastructure;
• Administration of user accounts and authorisations;
• Monitoring and maintenance of the systems as well as performance of regular backups;
• Error analysis and troubleshooting in the IT infrastructure;
• Documentation of the system configurations and processes;
• Support in the implementation of new hardware and software;
• Analysis and assessment of security risks and threats;
• Anticipation and early identification of problems;
• Derivation, formulation and implementation of problem-solving strategies;
• Target-group-appropriate communication and explanation of problems and their effects to the Client;
• Implementation of suitable measures taking into account functional and non-functional requirements (e.g. high availability of the system) as well as extensive quality assurance;

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies ;
• In-depth knowledge of the administration of servers and operating systems ( Linux );
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP );
• In-depth knowledge of cryptographic procedures and the use of digital signatures and certificates;
• In-depth knowledge of network security, encryption and access controls;
• In-depth knowledge of virtualised environments and cloud services;
• In-depth knowledge of IT security and data protection ;
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring and backup tools;
• In-depth knowledge of the set-up and handling of distributed systems (incl. geo-redundancy);
• In-depth knowledge of configuring and monitoring distributed systems both on application servers and in cloud-based environments;
• At least 3 years of demonstrable practical experience ;
• Based in Germany;
• Fluent command of oral and written German ( level C2 required ) and English at a sufficient level;
