Rotating days including weekends with overnight call 5:00 PM to 6:30 AM, 2-3 nights per month.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform echocardiograms in a fast-paced medical environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in echocardiography, particularly in trauma settings, with the ability to efficiently manage high-volume workloads while ensuring exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform 7-8 echocardiograms per day, including transthoracic, stress, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Adhere to strict lab standards and protocols to maintain consistency and diagnostic accuracy.
• Optimize image quality utilizing appropriate scanning techniques and equipment settings.
• Provide exceptional patient care and communication throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and sonographers to enhance team performance and patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 5 years of echocardiography experience.
• At least 2+ years of acute inpatient echo experience in a Trauma 1 level facility.
• Proficiency in a variety of echo procedures that meet accreditation standards.
• In-depth knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and pathology.
• Expertise in ultrasound contrast agents and maintaining diagnostic quality.
