Overview Job Title: Prep Cook (AM Shift) Location: The Americano – Scottsdale, AZ Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week (morning shifts) About The Americano The Americano is a modern Italian-inspired steakhouse. Our menu blends classic Italian tradition with contemporary creativity, featuring handmade pastas, prime steaks, and seasonally driven dishes. Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and motivated Prep Cook to join our morning prep team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for learning. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring a smooth and successful service. Responsibilities Perform daily prep tasks, including washing, chopping, portioning, and labeling ingredients. Assist in preparing sauces, stocks, dressings, and other key components. Follow standardized recipes and portioning guidelines with accuracy. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized prep station in compliance with food safety standards. Support chefs and line cooks by stocking stations and communicating prep needs. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating product. Qualifications Previous kitchen/prep experience preferred but not required – we are willing to train the right candidate. Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen safety. Dependable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Team-oriented with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
