EMT Contract Opportunity in Pine Ridge, SDThis is a 13-week contract/travel position for an EMT in Pine Ridge, SD. The assignment starts ASAP in August 2026. The contract is renewable.The assignment value is $40,722, with a weekly value of approximately $3,094. The per diem is paid for all 91 days of the assignment, including days off. Non-taxable status requires the EMT to maintain a qualifying tax home. Consult your tax advisor for individual eligibility.The EMT will provide basic life support pre-hospital emergency medical services and inter-facility transport. They will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls across the Pine Ridge Reservation and surrounding areas. The EMT will perform patient assessment, treatment, and documentation per South Dakota EMT protocols, operate and maintain emergency transport vehicles, work collaboratively with IHS physicians, nursing staff, and EMS team, complete all required documentation to IHS, Joint Commission, and CMS standards, and adhere to IHS facility policies, HIPAA regulations, and applicable federal and state law.Required qualifications include current EMT certification, minimum 12 months of EMT or paramedic experience within the last 3 years, current BLS/CPR certification, valid state driver's license, high school diploma or GED + completion of an EMS course of instruction, ability to obtain South Dakota EMT licensure prior to start date, passing the FBI National Criminal History background check, not appearing on the HHS OIG LEIE exclusions list, and completing IHS credentialing and health requirements.Preferred qualifications include prior experience with Indian Health Service, Tribal health facilities, or federally operated healthcare, familiarity with ImageTrend or similar EMS documentation platforms, experience with inter-facility transport and rural/reservation EMS operations, and cultural awareness of or sensitivity to Native American communities.DT-Trak Consulting is a Native American-owned, SBA 8(a)-certified federal healthcare staffing firm with deep roots in IHS contracting.
