RN - Cath Lab Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab License: RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: 1 year of EPIC experience Description: Shifts are from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, working three 12-hour days. On-call duty is once a week for three days, with a weekend call every 6th weekend. Weekend call spans from 7:00 AM on Saturday to 7:00 AM on Monday. The contract is for 12 weeks. Floating may be required, depending on unit needs. Candidates must possess skills in both Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. Experience with the Omnicell medication system is required. Required skills include End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Activated Clotting Time (ACT), and management of various cardiac medications. Candidates should be adept in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, including catheterizations and stent placements. Candidates must demonstrate competency in monitoring procedural sedation and managing complications. The team will consist of adults and geriatric patients. Team members may need to float to other units as necessary. Completion of pre-assignment testing and modules is mandatory. Time spent on modules is eligible for reimbursement, up to a specified limit.
