Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required; first timers accepted License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with PCU level patients - Skills in titrating cardiac drips with continuous telemetry monitoring - Experience with a patient population ranging from adolescents to geriatrics Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit. Candidates should have a minimum of one year of nursing experience. New graduate nurses are welcome to apply. The patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics. Key certifications required are BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. The unit specializes in neuro/stroke care, respiratory issues, cardiac conditions, and mixed medical cases. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 on a unit with 36 beds and an average daily census of 30. Experience in managing cardiac drips, BiPAP/CPAP, and telemetry is essential. There will be no block scheduling, and weekend shifts will be required every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Travel nurses must be willing to float within their scope of practice as needed. Compliance with all onboarding processes is required before starting the position. If major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work during these times. Candidates must be fully compliant to start on time; any delays in compliance may push the start date back by two weeks.
