Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with strong specialized nursing skills in a high-acuity pediatric environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients within the PICU, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Oversee and monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
• Float to the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) or other areas as necessary based on patient census and workload.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding care and treatment options.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric intensive care unit nursing experience required, with exposure to cardiac care preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• A valid compact nursing license is required.

Shift and Scheduling

• This position is for night shifts, working 3x12-hour shifts.
• Blocked schedules may be accommodated for travelers willing to work all weekends.
• Every other weekend (EOW) commitment is required, along with a minimum of 2 holiday shifts.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be presented at the time of application submission; a maximum of 5 days may be requested.
