Position Highlights Full-time (1.0 FTE); Weekdays plus call Clinical focus: Inpatient, OR, outpatient clinic Patient volume:Clinic and Hospital: 10–20 patients/week (may vary) Practice & Team This is an established cardiovascular surgery group with: 3 cardiothoracic surgeons 3 experienced advanced practice providers; also support weekend rounding and call Dedicated support staff Shared call Collegial, team-oriented environment with strong physician leadership Close collaboration with cardiology, anesthesiology, and critical care Teaching opportunities with residents, full research department; academic affiliation potential with IU School of Medicine No local competition Link to Cardiovascular Surgery-Muncie Clinical Scope This position offers a broad and complex case mix with steady procedural demand, including: Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) Valve repair and replacement Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) Robotic thoracic surgery Lung resections (including wedge resections) Candidate Qualifications Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Completion of Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship Experienced surgeons strongly preferred Demonstrated commitment to high-quality outcomes and patient-centered care Interest in mentoring and long-term growth within the practice Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive compensation with quality bonus potential Sign on bonus potential Generous PTO package Comprehensive benefits package including health, retirement, and malpractice coverage Eligibility for academic appointment and IU School of Medicine benefits Why Join IU Health in Muncie?
