As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Intake in Parsippany, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule Daytime Saturday 07:00 AM – 01:00 PM Sunday 07:00 AM – 01:00 PM How This Role Works Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location. Monitor front desk activity, manage access control processes, and verify credentials for guests, staff, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols. Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed. Maintain accurate front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity or security‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Support a professional lobby presence by assisting with directions, answering general inquiries, and helping to deter unauthorized access through attentive observation and consistent application of post procedures. Minimum Requirements Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
