C2C Candidate NeededScope of services for the Florida Planning, Accounting, and Ledger Management (PALM) project includes:Adoption of the Florida PALM Standardized Business Process ModelTransition to the Florida PALM Chart of Accounts valuesReplacement of Central, Payroll and Departmental FLAIR functionalityRedevelopment of agency incoming and outgoing interfaces to the statewide accounting systemImplementation of Information Warehouse data to support agency specific reporting requirementsComputing asset modifications to complete the PALM System Transition (FPST) will take place over two years in alignment with the Florida PALM Project scheduled timelineSeeking a resource knowledgeable in Data Modeling and Cost accounting to help map from existing project costing allocation process to the new future processEducation:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or other related fieldOr equivalent work experienceExperience:A minimum of 4 years of work experience in data modeling, data analysis, relational DBMS design and support and relevant computing environmentsPrimary Job Duties/Tasks:Analyze, develop, and document complex logical database designs, logical data models and relational data definitions in support of the Department and PALM systems requirementsUnderstands the methodologies and technologies that depict the flow of data within and between technology systems and business functions/operationsResponsible for the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues, and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models, for both as-is structure and proposed structureIdentifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy and trends in data uses and single sources of dataCombine business and technical data to assist with creation of documentationWork with Business Analysts, Developers, and Application Architects to support agency processes and remediation for the PALM Transition ProjectJob Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, chart of accounts, and financial transactionsExperience with complex queries involving multiple data sourcesExperience with reading, creating, and updating data structuresExperience with multiple include statementsExperience with Visio or other process mapping applications. Knowledge of the SCRUM FrameworkKnowledge of financial systems such as an ERPPreferred KSAs: Experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams, documenting and communicating technical requirements, coordinating with Business Analysts to capture business requirements, ability to bridge the gap between technical and business languageGeneral Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Communication: Ability to clearly convey information, in both written and verbal formats, to individuals or groups in a wide variety of settings (i.e., project team meetings, management presentations, etc.).
