About the Position

Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: ALS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC Must-Have: - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - ALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS Description: This is a contract position for an emergency department RN. The position requires working day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. No on-call shifts are required. The unit has 23 beds and a staffing model based on patient volume. Day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 1 paramedic, and 1 patient care technician. Midshift has 4 RNs, and night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, 1 paramedic, and 1 patient care technician. Patient ratios are typically 4:1. The equipment includes Welch Allyn and GE with Meditech as the EMR system. Candidates with 2 years of emergency department experience are preferred. Common procedures performed include cardioversion, TNK, and moderate sedation. Ideal candidates are team players, flexible, with a positive demeanor. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. The unit policies align with established healthcare policies and procedures. The department has received recognition as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. The work environment promotes a close-knit culture while embracing community growth. The staff includes a balanced mix of newly graduated nurses and those with long-term commitments.
