The Opportunity

We are seeking a Real Estate Development Officer in the Richmond, VA area to help bring affordable multifamily housing projects from concept to completion. This role is ideal for a mission-driven development professional who enjoys managing complex projects, collaborating with diverse partners, and making a tangible difference in the community.

What You'll Do

Manage affordable multifamily development projects from due diligence through closeout
Coordinate financing, tax credits, grants, and loan applications
Work closely with architects, contractors, consultants, and lenders
Oversee construction administration, budgets, bids, and change orders
Support real estate transactions, closings, and post-occupancy reviews
Ensure organized documentation and smooth handoff of completed projects

What We're Looking For

Master's degree with 2+ years of multifamily real estate development experience , or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong understanding of real estate development and finance
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Valid Virginia driver's license and ability to travel state-wide
Notary Public in Virginia preferred
