Registered Nurse - Pre-Op/Short Stay

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Shift: 0700-1500

Job Description The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the Pre-Op/Short Stay unit. This role demands a focus on delivering exceptional patient outcomes and ensuring a seamless preoperative experience.

Responsibilities Perform preoperative assessments and patient education. Administer medications and manage IV therapy. Monitor patients post-operatively in Phase 2. Assist in minor surgical procedures as required. Document all patient interactions and care in electronic medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must have Meditech Magic experience. PreOp experience is required. Excellent IV skills are essential. Must be flexible to float to PreOp, Phase 2, and PAT. Current BLS certification is required.
