Phlebotomist, Outpatient, Part Time, DaysThe Phlebotomist in this position draws blood from patients with minimum discomfort and pain, for the performance of various blood and chemical analyses; works effectively with other personnel to provide efficient and effective services.With consideration to age, employee utilizes the approved process to resolve biophysical, psychological, educational and environmental needs of patient and significant other when administering care.Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment which may include a considerable amount of walking, and physical assistance for patients.Strong verbal and written skills.Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety.Adaptability and accuracy.Must have good visual acuity and motor coordination.Strong clinical skills.Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions.Strong computer skills (data entry and typing).Honest, dependable, and conscientious.Formal training will be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent.Graduation from an approved phlebotomy training program.Current venipuncture certificate.Previous experience in a laboratory at a multi-specialty clinic.Position requires every other Saturday 7am to 12 pm availabilityMinimum Salary: $21.00Maximum Salary: $33.91
