The Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center is seeking a driven, communicative, and team-oriented board-certified or board-eligible equine internal medicine specialist to join our collaborative veterinary practice. Our skilled team includes one established board-certified internist, three board-certified surgeons, five field service associates, and seven rotating interns, all working together to provide comprehensive, high-quality care. Our practice is built on a foundation of patient, compassionate, and effective communication—with both horse owners and industry professionals. With an annual internal medicine caseload exceeding 500 cases , we offer a strong opportunity for a second internist to thrive. The role includes providing elective internal medicine services and emergency care to a diverse population of performance, breeding stock, and pleasure horses within the hospital. Our facility features 47 stalls , including a four-stall, climate-controlled USDA-certified isolation unit and a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit equipped with radiant heat, oxygen ports, constant rate fluid infusion pumps, and fully stocked mobile NICU pharmacy carts. Our advanced diagnostic capabilities include Qalibra CT , MRI , and nuclear scintigraphy , supported by digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, and gastroscopy.
